This Refill contains 55 painstakingly crafted effects and utility Combinators with various thoughtful conveniences and advanced audio processing concepts designed to make advanced audio processing - such as parallel compression, excitation, stereo widening, harmonizing, saturation, and so on - easier and more fun. In short, this Refill is designed to make you more effective.

In many ways this is not only a Refill for musicians but also for novice and intermediate engineers.  It's for people who like to take things and make them their own. These are highly usable, flexible Combinators that can not only be "dropped in" and sound amazing on their own but also are highly tweakable and general enough to snap together to create your own custom effect chains, or even your own custom Combinators using AFFECTIVE Combinators as a basis. These patches are not just plug-and-play "black boxes" - although, you can certainly use them that way and get plenty of bang for your buck!  The number of "utility"-type patches are relatively low compared to the full patch count.

Additionally, the Combinators feature faceplates that are color-coded based on their type of usage.  This makes them easy to find and tell apart in the rack.

The types of patches included in the refill fall into these general types:

• Rack Extension inspired patches - get some features of popular RE's on the cheap, and with less DSP usage. There is a FET-inspired Compressor, a Tri-band Splitter,  Dual-Stage Maximizer, and more.  All of them contain extra enhancements not found in the rack extensions.
• Enhancements on Rack Extensions - a Highpass Synapse AF-4, for example - or a version of Rough Rider that doesn't cut the highs.
• Familiar Reason devices with a twist - envelope controlled filters powered by Thor and Synapse AF-4, stereo Malstrom shaper and filter, "balanced" ping-pong delay, and more.
• "Advanced technique" devices - New York-style compression, low and high frequency exciters, Haas effect, "aural" exciters...
• Original, versatile effect "devices" - Intense distortion,Vari-Mu Compressors, harmonizer, vintage sim, stereo-unlinked compressors for more dynamism and movement, and more.
• Utility patches - CV and audio monitoring, True Sample-and-Hold LFO, constant-power crossfading template, and more.
